Liposuction is removal of fat from unwanted places excess fat may be in the abdomen, arms or any part of the body can be removed through very tiny holes by advanced liposuction techniques giving excellent results. How is Liposuction done?
Liposuction at Nypunya is done using very advanced techniques & we make 3mm opening pores in hidden areas & we do what is called tumescent Liposuction. We first put tumescent fluid to loosen up the fat then break it & pulmarise it & suck out all the fat so that area becomes flat & nicely shaped. Skin over it contracts when a good Liposuction is done. Liposuction done this way gives very accurate results & is safe.

How is the recovery after the Liposuction ?
Liposuction is a simple straightforward procedure most often done as a day care procedure, where clients come & go home on the same day. First 2days will be a little difficult, there will be more soreness in the area where the Liposuction is done & that subsequently comes down on 4-5day & usually most of our clients resume work from day 2 of Liposuction . Results Appear only after 3-4 weeks of Liposuction & they tend to go on improving for almost 4-6months after the procedure.
Is Liposuction Dangerous?
Unlike everybody who believes & what is portrayed in the media that Liposuction is dangerous it causes death is absolutely wrong. Liposuction done properly is a very safe & vey effective procedure to remove fat. Deaths which are connected to Liposuction are usually misinterpreted because the cause is different. Liposuction done in a proper modular sterile OT by an experienced surgeon usually has no side effects & is not at all dangerous.
What are the possible side effects?
Anything that has an effect has a side effect so Liposuction usually during the recovery period initial few day there will be soreness, pain which can be very effectively controlled with the help of tablets subsequenlty there will be swelling of the areas where we have done Liposuction which takes 4-6weeks to reduce during this period we suggest putting pressure garment which helps in reducing the swelling as well as soreness there will be some areas of bruising which clears by itself during second & third week of Liposuction & there will be little hardening of the areas & slight darkening of the areas of Liposuction which also clears completely at the end of 6-8weeks. So all in all Liposuction recovery has an immediate phase of 1 or 2 days after which the client can go back to his work & a slightly longer recovery time where the results shape up over a period of 1.5 to 2months.
Does the fat accumulate again?
When we do proper Liposuction we remove of 85-90% of fat cells that are in that particular area so what is left is basic minimum fat that is required of a thickness of around 1-2cm under the skin so question of fat accumulating back in that area is not there & some people think fat removed from one place gets accumulated in another place that is also a wrong concept. A Liposuction & a healthy lifestyle gives a permanent result.
Can Liposuction be done repeatedly?
Usually once Liposuction is done properly there is no need to repeat it again but in case other areas need to be done or a touchup or further improvement can be done safely. Liposuction results depend on the surgeon & a well educated client. So when you are choosing a surgeon for Liposuction you make sure that he is a qualified plastic surgeon with an additional training in cosmetic surgery. Surgeons should be performing Liposuction regularly & please don’t hesitate to ask before & after photographs & to give an in depth explanation of the procedure. V should be done in a safe, sterile preferably dedicated OT with laminar airflow for cosmetic surgery & there should be a safe & efficient anaesthesia & post operative recovery team.
Is there any age limit for getting Liposuction done?
Usually we perform Liposuction in all age groups starting from 18yrs to our eldest is 80yrs. Usually at the younger age group of 18yrs it is done for men with gynecomastia & as the age progresses usually it is done for ladies with bulges which are not going with diet & exercise for those ladies who have got fat bulges after pregnancy.
